•Compressed gas cylinders will be handled, used, transported and stored in the upright position at all times.
•Secure bottles with chain or a non-combustible strap. Do not use rope if possible.
•Caps should be in place at all times unless in use.
•Depressurize all hoses, regulators and torches when left overnight.
•Do not drag, overheat, weld on cylinders or use cylinders as rollers or work supports.
•Compressed gas cylinders are not to be hoisted, except when a proper cage designed for this purpose is used.
•Compressed fuel (acetylene, propane, etc.) shall be stored in a separate location than oxygen or air bottles. Storage facilities shall be appropriately signed.
•Always use appropriate regulators and equipment with compressed gases.
