•Ensure that chain or rope is attached to a secure part of the frame, not steering components, not a bumper or other exterior fixture.
•Do not use combination rope or strap and chain, if the rope / strap breaks, the tension in the rope usually acts as a slingshot for the chain end. Many people have been injured when this happens.
•Always ensure the ends of the towing line are well attached, not just loosely hooked.
•Avoid jerking the vehicle as this puts extreme strain on the vehicle and towing line.
•Do not place yourself in the line of tension or line of fire should the towing line break or become detached.
