Senior managers and the safety advisor will perform informal tours of available worksites on a minimum yearly basis.

The intent of a worksite tour is to informally observe workers in a field environment, discuss safety issues and / or safety procedures with all employees on site.  This will allow senior managers to gain insight to actual field conditions and allow them to observe employees in the field to ensure policies and procedures are being followed.  Shortcomings can be addressed in the field, and discussed at a following safety meeting to ensure employees are aware of items that were discussed during the tour.  The field tour is not to lay blame, but to guage employee knowledge of the safety program.
