A supervisor or manager of an employee must request that an employee submit to alcohol and drug testing if the supervisor or manager, and the next level of management, have reasonable grounds, as defined under definitions, to believe that the employee is, or may be unable to, work in a safe manner because of the use of alcohol or drugs. The employee must be provided the reason for this request.
