Proof Of Neg Covid Test

This policy has been canceled but will remain in the safety manual in case of another pandemic!

Power Tech is legally obligated to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all employees and visitors.  The Covid-19 pandemic has presented many challenges on mitigating hazards from this virus.  Many Power Tech clients have initiated a proof of vaccination policy for contractors who work on their sites.  In an effort to be in line with these policies and to help reduce the risk and spread of the Covid-19 virus, the following policy will come into effect on and after November 08, 2021:

Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination or Proof of Negative Covid-19 Test:

On and after November 08, 2021 all workers entering Power Tech facilities will be required to show proof of being fully vaccinated for the Covid-19 virus.  Fully vaccinated means you have received the required number of doses of a Covid-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada and that 14 days or more have passed since the last dose.  A Sask. Health issued QR code is the standard proof that will be required.  If you do not have a QR code, a vaccination card, issued at the time of vaccination, will be temporarily accepted.

Employees who are unable to be vaccinated, have chosen not to be vaccinated, or do not wish to disclose their preference, will be required to provide a proof of negative Covid-19 test result, dated no less than every 72 hours.  Testing will be done on non work time and any costs associated with testing will be paid by the worker.  Employees on vacation or leave are not required to show negative test results.

Employees who choose not to provide proof of vaccination, or negative Covid-19 test results, will not be allowed to enter Power Tech work sites and will be put on unpaid leave/suspension until either proof of vaccination or negative Covid-19 test results are provided.

All information regarding proof of vaccination or negative Covid-19 test results will remain confidential between the employee and Power Tech.
