Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) protection is an integral part of Power Tech Industries Ltd. work. The management of Power Tech Industries Ltd. are fully committed to protecting and maintaining the safety, health, and well-being of our staff, including physical, psychological, and social well being. We are furthermore committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for the protection of workers, contractors, property, the environment and the public. Power Tech Industries Ltd. recognizes all workers have the right to a safe and healthy work environment. Safety will take equal priority with all other operations at Power Tech Industries Ltd..
There are many costs associated with incidents, losses and unsafe practices. Power Tech Industries Ltd. has safety responsibilities to ensure that practical and effective measures are utilized to protect the health and safety of our workers, contractors and the public, to safeguard the environment and comply with all relevant HSE legislation, OHS Acts and OHS Regulations, and have set a goal to ensure all safety measures are in place and are monitored for effectiveness and to effectively reduce injury and damage incidents to zero.
Management is responsible for and is actively involved in the development, maintenance and implementation of the Company's health, safety and environmental protection activities. Management will also provide the necessary equipment, training and procedures required to comply with applicable legislation and the Petroleum Industry's "Guiding Principles".
Supervisors are responsible to become actively involved in the development and maintenance of the safety program through the sharing of experience or knowledge and by providing feedback to management on program requirements. They are further responsible to assist in reviewing the company safety program and all benefits associated with the company safety program with all employees under their supervision.
Workers are responsible to participate in the development of the Company's ongoing health, safety and environmental initiatives. They are further responsible to comply with all applicable rules and procedures as identified in applicable legislation and this document.
Managers, Supervisors, and Workers are responsible to use / wear required personal protective equipment, safeguards and safety equipment provided, as required. All Supervisors, Workers, and Contractors are responsible for informing management of any unsafe work situation.
A joint and continuous effort by Management, Supervisors, Workers and Contractors will ensure a safe, healthy and clean work environment.
