Introduction

Hazard Defined:  A condition or practice with the potential for accidental loss.

 

Pro-active hazard / loss exposure identification is the cornerstone on which Power Tech Industries Ltd.’s HSE Management System is built.  It is the starting point for all other elements of the program.  Hazard assessment provides program needs analysis helping to identify where losses could potentially occur.  They identify the appropriate controls to reduce the likelihood the loss will occur, or reduce the severity of the loss should it occur.

The following processes / systems will be used for identifying hazards or loss exposures:

Planned Worksite and Equipment Inspections;

Task Hazard Assessment;

Pre-job Hazard Assessment;

Management of Change process.
