The following emergency response plan will facilitate an effective response by management and employees to an emergency occurrence that may adversely affect Power Tech Industries Ltd. Although every attempt has been made to make this plan as complete and comprehensive as possible, each situation may require variations of the following procedures. The intent of the plan is to minimize damage and loss in an emergency situation, to ensure a state of emergency preparedness company wide, protect the public, employees, contractors, property and the environment. Power Tech Industries Ltd.’s emergency response plan is only useful as a reference tool; pre-planning, training and emergency response drills are of paramount importance to the success of emergency response.

It is important that employees and contractors become familiar with the contents of this plan and that alternates are identified before an emergency occurs.
Emergencies may include medical emergencies, where there is an injury, and non-medical emergencies, where there is no injury present but a worker may require rescue. Non-medical emergencies may require equipment such as fire extinguishers in vehicles and buildings, ladders and ropes in trucks, eye wash stations, gas monitors, SCBA units where required, fall arrest gear, drinking water, blankets.
All Power Tech employees are trained and certified in First Aid and Level C CPR to ensure there is an adequate number of certified first aiders available on all work sites to assist an injured employee.
