All electrical extension or power supply cord used for supplying energy to any electrical equipment:

•must be approved for the intended use and location of the electrical extension or power supply cord;

•must be fitted with approved cord end attachment devices that are installed in an approved manner;

•must be provided with a grounding conductor;

•must be maintained and protected from physical or mechanical damage;

•must be plugged into an approved GFCI plug adapter or GFCI receptacle (if used in a damp location).
